Project Description
You will be creating an animation using the techniques below. The length depends on the technique you choose and is described in the table below.
You can use any of the techniques discussed the past week including:
- Traditional 2D
Cut Paper
Stop Motion
This can be done by:
- Taking pictures with a digital still camera and importing them into Premiere Pro.
Using DragonFrame.
Other methods of your choosing.
Project timeline
Due date: Your final video uploaded to the youtube or on an external drive.
Grading criteria
You will be graded on the following items please make sure you pay attention to them.
- The pieceʼs length based on the type you use (see chart below).
- How effectively it demonstrates the principles you’ve chosen.
- The complexity and challenge of the piece.
- The motion.
- Craftsmanship.
- Animation Type
Length
- Traditional, hand-drawn 2D – 7 to 10 seconds*
- Cut Paper – 30 to 45 seconds*
- Stop Motion – 30 to 45 seconds*
- Mixed methods – Use your best judgment*
*Remember that all times are approximate if your piece needs to a bit longer or shorter to work that’s OK just for your sanity don’t plan a 10 minute short.
