Your Final Project

For your final piece you will be able to reinvestigate an assignment or group of assignments which you find most interesting and or challenging and devise a project around that discipline. This is pretty open so please see me if you have any questions.

Final Project Due: Last Day of Class

Over the course of this class we have studied the different principles of time and how they can be used within art. Some of the different variations which we have looked at are:

  • Sequential or Narrative Art
  • Audio
  • Animation
  • Video
  • Performance

Time Requirements

For your final piece I want you to further explore an aspect of one or more of these different disciplines. The time requirements for the different projects is the same as the previous project so:

  • Sequential or Narrative Art – Please see me
  • Audio – 3 to 6 minutes
  • Animation – 7 seconds for hand drawn higher for stop motion etc.
  • Video – 3 to 6 minutes
  • Performance – 2 to 5 minutes

As always these are basic guidelines and I prefer a shorter piece that says what it needs to than add extra junk to meet a time requirement.

Important

If you have any questions please feel free to ask, the project is due the last day of class, I expect everyone to stay through the pieces, we need to be on time and ready to go at the beginning of class. If your project is not ready you will be graded down, we will not have time to show you how to export from Final Cut Pro etc, if you still donʼt know how to do this see me at least the day before!
